In 2025 I wrote an article entitled ‘Disability, Climate Justice and the Need for Real Change’. This was published on Earth Day by Unlimited (the UK’s leading arts and disability organisation) on their website.
“While disability discrimination affects the disabled community, ableism affects us all. It pushes human labour beyond safe limits. Promotes the human as robot. Ignores the physical boundaries of human beings’ minds and bodies. Ableism is a part of capitalism that needs calling out as a vital way to build a climate just future.1“
